Additive Manufacturing of ceramics and hardmetal via Laser Powder Bed Fusion (CerAM L-PBF)

Topic

Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) is a powder bed-based process known for its relatively fast production of large-format components with high green part strength compared to binder jetting. For this purpose, powders are applied in layers over a construction area and locally bonded by means of a laser beam. The bond is based on an organic additive which, when irradiated by the laser beam, melts in a thermally induced manner, bonds powder particles and creates a green body.

We have summarized an overview of the available material systems, technical equipment as well as our range of services in the field of CerAM L-PBF in our industry solutions.
