The IKTS uses correlative microscopy to analyze nanostructured materials. The obtained material data are evaluated with adaptive algorithms.

The department works to accelerate research, industrial technology transfer, and the commercialization of research results through the consistent use of digital methods.

Extensive sintering and analysis know-how in this department is concentrated at both the Hermsdorf and the Dresden location.
