IKTS intensifies cooperation with India – MoU signed for joint venture in energy storage
IKTS Institute Director Prof. Dr. Alexander Michaelis and two Indian technology companies signed a "Memorandum of Understanding" (MoU) during a delegation trip of the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Science and the Digital Society to India.
In the presence of Wolfgang Tiefensee, Thuringia's Minister of Economic Affairs, the paper signed in the industrial centre of Pune confirms the already close co-operation between IKTS and the companies h2e Power Systems and R Cube Energy Storage Systems. Joint activities in the field of hybrid energy systems based on ceramic high-temperature batteries and solid oxide fuel cells will now be further intensified.
“We have been working with this team from India for the last eight years and we now feel that the time is right to introduce the product-based solutions to markets across the world. The proposed joint venture will create a unique solutions-based company, one of its kind in the world,” Alexander Michaelis emphasizes.
The goal is to bring development into industrialization and to find production facilities in Thuringia and India for this purpose.
