The ECerS conference takes place every two years and is an important platform for the exchange of cutting-edge research and product development in various ceramics-related fields.

The Sodium Battery Symposium – SBS is the conference for scientific exchange on sodium batteries in Europe. The SBS6 will cover all aspects of Na-based batteries, from fundamental research up to systems, along with testing, markets and applications. It wants to strengthen the community around sodium batteries and intends to enable an open exchange of information on current scientific results, research interests, as well as market requirements.

The 2025 European School for Young Materials Scientists aims to bring together young scientists, mainly PhD students, working in the exciting fields of Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Nanoscale Materials, Nanoanalysis, as well as Multiscale materials characterization.

We kindly invite you to attend our industry workshop “Transparent Ceramics at Fraunhofer IKTS – Technology, Development and Potentials” and look behind the scenes of pilot production and development of transparent ceramics. During guided tours of our production plants and technical centers, you will receive exclusive insights into our ceramic technologies, innovative manufacturing methods, quality assurance strategies and potential areas of application. We will answer your individual questions and discuss application-specific requirements.

Solid electrolyte batteries are considered potential candidates that can overcome the disadvantages of conventional lithium-ion batteries in terms of safety and energy density. However, we are not yet seeing entry into the mass market and therefore ask ourselves: Where do solid electrolyte batteries stand today? Exchange different perspectives at our two-day meeting and discuss where you see solid electrolyte batteries – ante portas or still as a vision?
