  • Supply of an EddyCus® Integration Kit for a Cartesian scan system for the evaluation of a tape laying process and its monitoring with a high-frequency eddy current sensor (image scanning)

  • Quality assurance of textile high-performance fiber rovings during production (complete width of the textile semi-finished product at production speed before coiling)
  • Testing of correct adjustment of layers/fiber direction

For the project EVo (near-net manufacturing of CFRP components in large quantities) a fully automated process chain is developed for manufacturing three-dimensional RTM components (resin-transfer-molded; stringer, frames for aircraft fuselage). For the robot assembly, Fraunhofer IKTS delivers the EddyCus® Integration Kit for image scanning of draped components in order to detect anomalies in layer structures (fiber orientation) and defects (ondulations, lanes, fluff) in transformed carbon fiber structures.
