Materials testing

The design of components and the further development of modern materials rely heavily on material properties such as strength, hardness, and fracture toughness. At Fraunhofer IKTS, we use both standard-compliant and specialized test methods to determine mechanical properties throughout the entire development cycle. In addition, we develop customer-specific test concepts as needed, tailored precisely to the respective application.
