As part of a research project, Fraunhofer IKTS and its partners are focusing on comprehensive process digitalization for functional ceramic materials and components. The aim is to develop the necessary digital building blocks and tools required for structuring, storing, linking and processing all data generated throughout the life cycle. This creates a "digital twin" for materials and components, which supports research and industry in creating new solutions and intelligently optimizing existing processes.
Practical applicability is ensured through validation in selected, industrially relevant processes. The focus is particularly on lead-free, textured piezoceramic materials and ferrite-based multilayer inductors, which offer potential for high-performance applications.
