The current trend for high performance ceramics demands for components with complex geometry combined with multi-functional properties. The combination of the ceramic injection-molding with the ceramic multilayer-technology (LTCC) establishes completely new possibilities in the product design for an efficient fabrication of innovative marketable products. The Inmould-Labeling of ceramic green tapes combines the advantages of both techniques. Due to the multicomponent injection-molding the highly functional multi-layer-ceramic (MLC) technology, a typical 2.5D technology is qualified to an equal third dimension. This provides the fabrication of complex components with integrated functions (e.g. fluidic devices, sensors, actors).
