Partnering conference / October 24, 2022 - October 26, 2022
At the meeting of the international biopharma community, Fraunhofer IKTS will showcase ceramic high-tech solutions for material testing as well as bone replacement structures.
Booth 100, Biosaxony joint booth
Novel in vitro test system ClicKit-Well – standardized, resource-saving.
The in vitro test system limits the contact of the biological material and the material sample to the surface that is to be tested and has a modular design in the common cell culture formats 96-well, 48-well and 24-well. By generating size-standardized surfaces on material sapmples, a uniform test scenario is realized that is more independent of material dimensions and minimizes previous sources of error in in vitro testing.
Personizable bone replacement structures
Implant materials that mimic the human bone structure stimulate the body's own cell growth. The ceramic bone substitute serves as a scaffold and guide structure into which the body's own cells grow. For this purpose, the artificial bone is personalized. The support structures are produced using a 3D printing process and filled with porous bioceramics via freeze foaming. This makes it possible to realize implants or bio-substitutes in a biomimetic and patient-friendly way.
